Privacy Policy

IndieProfile exists to publish a profile. Almost everything it stores is intended to be seen by anyone, and this page is mostly about being precise on which parts those are.
Signing in with X
Sign-in happens through X (formerly Twitter) using OAuth. We never see or store your X password. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, which keeps your account record and the session cookie that signs you in.
When you first sign in, we read your public X profile once to fill your profile in: your handle, display name, profile photo, bio, location and website. The access token that permits that single read is used for it and then discarded — it is never written to our database.
What we store
Your profile:
- Your IndieProfile username
- Your display name, profile photo and X handle, synced from X
- Your bio, location and website, which you can edit or clear
- When your profile was created and last updated
Each project you add:
- Its name, tagline, website and logo link
- Its status, and the monthly revenue figure if you enter one
- The order you arranged it in
What is public
Your profile page and every project on it are public. They can be read by anyone, without signing in, and may be indexed by search engines or shown as a preview when a link is shared. The revenue figure is included — it is optional precisely because publishing it is a choice.
Treat anything you type here as published. Do not put something in a bio, a tagline or a project name that you would not want read by everyone.
Analytics and cookies
There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising on IndieProfile. We do not use third-party trackers and we do not build a profile of your browsing.
The only cookies set are the ones that keep you signed in. Signed out, the site sets none.
Who else processes your data
Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication. X provides sign-in and the profile details described above. Your profile photo is served from X's own image servers, so loading a profile requests an image from them.
Deleting your data
You can delete any project from your profile at any time, and edit or empty your bio, location and website yourself. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email info@indieprofile.in— removing the account removes the profile and every project with it.
Changes
IndieProfile is new, and this policy will change as it does. The date at the top is when it last did.
